Capstone Project - CPS Mandate from the
Dept. of College and Career Planning - CTE Division

Capstone Project Overview:   Seniors will demonstrate their mastery of the subject matter covered in their three years in Information Processing. Each student will select and create a Business Website for a business that they are interested in owning or working for in the future. Via project components designed by the student, each student will demonstrate his/her knowledge of the software applications (Word Processing, Access, PowerPoint, Graphics, Web Design, Excel, and Dynamic HTML), Internet skills, and critical thinking skills.

Students will prepare poster boards displaying their web documents and other documents created, by integrating the software applications listed above. Students will also give oral presentations to their peers, parents, and invited guests, as a final culminating activity.

Students will be given an Instruction Packet described the required components of the capstone project, with clearly stated expectations, milestones, and due dates. All seniors are required to complete an individual Capstone Project and the grade earned will comprise a part of the final course grade.
