Instructions for Assignments/Projects
  • Please follow the directions for each assignment or project, noting the specific requirements for each component. 

  • On-going help will be provided, as needed. 

  • You should refer to your textbook for additional help and samples.

IF A STUDENT IS OFFICIALLY EXCUSED FROM CLASS, IT IS THE STUDENT'S RESPONSIBILITY
TO COMPLETE ALL MISSED WORK.  A ZERO WILL BE RECORDED FOR WORK MISSED, IF A STUDENT CUTS CLASS.

STUDENTS CAN GET AFTER-SCHOOL COMPUTER HELP AND ACCESS A COMPUTER IN THE ETC COMPUTER LABS - ROOMS 114/115.  SEE MRS. HADLEY, FOR MORE INFORMATION.

Welcome

Welcome to Dr. Shegog's IT Online Community for IT classes (Periods 5 & 7).

In IT, students strive to improve their typing speed via keyboarding drills and supplementary online typing software.  Students are also introduced to Microsoft software, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Access.  In addition, students learn about the computer and how it is used in everyday life.

Students follow the ETC course syllabus for Information Technology.  All students are required to complete the followings:

*  A Daily Bell-Ringer assignment (computer)
*  Daily Log of activities, including "I can"
   statements (computer),
Note-taking using the Cornell Method (daily)             See sample Cornell Notes
Reading and Written Assignments
Integrated Projects
Keytrain-Workkeys practice lessons  
Practical (computer) and Wriiten Assessments
*  Other Enrichment & Technology-Related   
    Activities and Projects

All student works is to be kept in a Portfolio notebook.   The portfolio is the responsibility of the student. 

The student's grade will be based on his/her level of competency in
completing assignments/projects, test scores, and class participation. 
Class participation includes   behavior, conduct, input, and effort in class.
