The Library Media Center is centrally located on the first floor in room 124.  We welcome all staff and students to a friendly atmosphere conducive to reading and learning.  We are committed to providing and supporting an academically challenging environment for our diverse population of learners.  The staff consists of one professional librarian and student assistants.

The library maintains a flexible schedule. Students may come to the
Media Center during their lunch period, with a class, with a pass from a classroom teacher or after school. Students need their school I
D card to check out materials.

Northeastern Illinois University, Educational Talent Search Program

ETSP provides student tutoring during lunch Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays; and after school Monday through Thursday in the library until 4:00.

ETSP provides tours to universities and colleges, and trade schools that give students the opportunities to experience higher learning. 

ETSP supports academic achievement and heightens scholastic and professional success. Students have the opportunity to meet authors and poets through several program: Mayor Daley’s Book Club, Teen Read, National Library Week, Annual Book Fairs and the Chicago Public Library Card Drive.

The purpose of the Library Media Center is one of supporting the curriculum, teaching successful research strategies, fostering life-long reading and learning.
